In August 2014, our company's independently developed XR-SR chelating iron catalyst was successfully applied to the No. 3 LO-CAT sulfur recovery unit of Sinopec Northwest Bureau, producing high-quality sulfur with a purity of more than 95%. This marked the first industrial application of our company's XR-SR catalyst. The XR-SR catalyst is our company's domestically produced version of the ARI catalyst from Merichem Company of the United States. Compared with imported catalysts, it has the same desulfurization effect and stability, with the hydrogen sulfide content in the treated tail gas below 1 ppm, while also having lower reagent consumption and better sulfur forming effect. It can meet the stable operation requirements of industrial units.
